Also called Pepper Drops these days,  they first appeared in US grocery store salad or olive bars.

You might be tempted to think tomato, but these cute little veggies are actually peppers. Also known as Incan Red Drops, originating in the Peruvian Amazon, this wild cross between a cherry and a jalapeno pepper is the perfect combination of sweet, tart, spicy and bright. Slightly picante and sweet, they are a perfect conversation starter, served simply with a tooth pick as a VeggieTizer.

Sweety Drops peppers are smaller than a cherry tomato, with a unique pear shape and a bright red color.

Also add them to salads, pizza or pastas. They are perfect for a topping or garnishing salads and couscous.

Available these days in jars and cans.  Check Delallo.com
