Veggie’Tizers™

Veggie’tizers- What are they?

Not new but with a new name.  Vegetables eaten before dinner as in Italian Antipasti or Greek Mezedes, but even more.  Veggie’tizers can also serve as supper —Veggie’tizers Make Dinner, lots of nibbles, eaten around the coffeetable, over great discussions.

And not just for Veggie-Centric cooks—options include meat, poultry and seafood ingredients combined with veggies.

Ever heard of Crudités?  French term for raw, cut, chilled veggies perfect for dipping and served as appetizers.  Veggie’tizers goes a little further—teaching how to create a colorful presentation along with dips that also contain veggies, like Skinny Cucumber Dip.

Veggie’tizers goes even further, giving your favorite veggies some stove heat and offering

Libertés with Crudités, such as Stacy’s 5-minute Green Beans— surprisingly simple and warmly delicious.  Or Roasted Cauliflower Popcorn.

Then the Cheese course, of course, combined with veggies.  Asparagus Puff Tart with Gruyere Cheese, presents elegantly—a Smart Tart indeed.  Pressed for Time?  Turn Grilled Cheese with Jarred Roasted Red Peppers into “soldier” rectangles or Panini with Sauteed Mushrooms and Spinach into triangles.

Come on my Veggie’tizers journey and like your Mom said, “Eat your veggies”.
