Lots to do in Ottawa including tours of Senate and House of Commons (in temporary digs during 10 year restoration of Parliament buildings). Great walking town, wide sidewalks, Sparks St. promenade (no cars), public art and great food. Oops, no changing of the guard after summer.

Especially in the fall! You can spend a whole day just in the Canadian Museum of History. pat
