Most have heard of Under the Tuscan Sun, the book or the movie. Hearing her in person was sensational—down-to-earth, comedic outlook on adventures, casual style, and a “word nerd”. Lecture was sponsored by Cardinal at North Hills, a senior community. Her other fixer-upper home is in Hillsborough, NC, about 1 hour drive from Raleigh. She mentioned being happy to be there since at home she left her hubby with the electrician, plumber and an animal expert they hoped would trap the skunk under the house.
Had a chance to speak to her before the lecture —lovely, kind, appreciative of our little conversation and so patient with speaking to all awaiting the photo opportunity. I am checking out her cookbook at the library. She and her husband love to cook simply Italian.
