Calais Cake

  Perhaps every tourist town should have their own cake???  This one very famous and very yummy.  Maracoon pastry, coffee buttercream and almonds.   A mini version was 3 Euros 50=$4.25 approx. and gone in only a few minutes pleasure.

Delft, The Netherlands

  Delft is a cool tourist town.  Lots of restaurants around town square with good food, lots of people watching and lots of walking. One bakery in particular had a long line—great cakes in window.  Holland is crazy about soccer.  

Leiden, The Netherlands

  Searching for a working parking pay machine, we discovered this busy cafe on the canal for the Birthday Duo Dinner.  Wonderful choice, heartily recommend, especially on a sunny Friday nite with lots of boat activity and cool breezes.
