Lots of reasons to visit Dayton, Ohio
LIke to walk? Check out the Univerity of Dayton campus-perfectly manicured, wide-sidewalked with plenty of benches to rest. Or visit the nationally know Woodlawn Cemetery- 200 acres that make up one of the nation’s oldest “garden” cemeteries. Marvel at over 100,000 monuments, ranging from rugged boulders to Greek statues and temples, that note the lives of people who helped to shape Dayton and the nation.
Dayton is the home of the Wright Brothers and Erma Bombeck. Lots to check out along with Wright Patterson Air Force Museum, the Wright Flyer sculpture and and the Flyover Sculpture on Main Street.
But my most favorite shopping experience is any Dorothy Lane Food Market. Beginning with the entry (Oakwood store), the Boulangerie and Sweets are mouthwatering and impressive. Then aisle after aisle of world famous cheeses, fresh seafood and meats, produce and most any recipe ingredient you could never find anywhere else. https://www.dorothylane.comhttp://www.dorothylane.com
And of coure, the opportunity to visit Graeter’s Ice Cream stores. YUM!
